As there is no law that requires the collection of a monetary deposit on beverage containers in Aruba, The Balashi Brewery incentive truly inspired clients, commercial and private, to value their empties and get them ready for pick up at stores and restaurants, or deliver them personally to the plant to receive a discount on their next purchase.
Returned empties are sorted by color - Clear, Green & Brown, laser checked for cracks, imperfections or impurities, thoroughly steam-washed, and disinfected, then refilled, labeled and crated, at the fully automated plant.
With improved procedures, The Balashi Brewery is proud to announce it now recycles 96% Balashi bottles, 95% Chill bottles and just 22% Magic Mango bottles, its newest beer, still teaching clients to recycle.
Balashi & Balashi Chill are now the “greenest” beers on Aruba, successful at recouping most of their empties, saving many thousands from the land fill.
